  • In light of recent events, the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (RCPE) has made the following event talks freely available (with thanks to both speakers for their permission).

    We unite with others in the medical community to condemn all violence, particularly attacks on healthcare workers and medical infrastructure. College statements regarding conflicts and health can be found in the side panel.

  • The prestigious Dr JMJ Supramaniam Lecture was delivered at our Infectious Diseases and Global Health Symposium in October 2025 by Professor Richard Sullivan. Richard Sullivan is Professor of Cancer and Global Health at King’s College London, and Director of the King’s Institute of Cancer Policy and co-Director of the Conflict and Health Research Group.

  • This talk was delivered at our Rehabilitation Medicine Symposium in October 2024 by Col Dr Alan Mistlin CBE. Alan Mistlin is a Consultant in Rheumatology and Rehabilitation Medicine who recently retired from the Army having led the development of the Complex Trauma Team at The Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre. He has previously been chair of the Trauma Programme of Care Board and CRG for Complex Rehabilitation and Disability.
